Running
I was out on my morning run today and as usual, my brain started ticking over random thoughts. Like how much I hate running, why am I doing this to myself and will I have 2 or 3 pork ribs for breakfast.
Obviously, there are all sorts of reasons people run, everything from stress management, weight loss and health to professional competitors. At EC we see the spectrum. I can consider myself lucky that running is virtually pain-free for me. Although it looks like it should be agony.
Many of our patients come to Everything’s Connected because they are not so lucky and pain is inhibiting their exercises. One of the aims of the EC approach is to keep you doing what you love so unless it’s a necessity it’s unlikely we will stop you running. We may tweak up your program, decrease your volume, change the way you train but we will endeavor to keep you running.
