Hip Pain, Hip Replacement & Grit

Hip pain can make life really difficult for individuals of all ages. The hips are our power source and trying to function without them when they are painful is really hard. Hermina has kindly allowed us to share one of her exercises challenges that she successfully completed today.

After bilateral hip replacement and lumbar fusion, Hermina had difficulty standing and unable to walk without a stick. While she still needs the stick to traverse the obstacle course that you see below moving around on a flat surface is now possible unassisted.

Her goals were simple; to be able to walk without a stick and lift and play with her grandson Jack. With shear grit, Hermina has taken to her hydrotherapy sessions and rehabilitation protocol. We all had a big smile on our faces when she completed the exercise below.
