Sitting- a pain in the back

Sitting

Low back and neck pain after sitting extended (and sometimes even short) periods of time are a common patient complaint we see at Everything’s Connected. The lack of motion and sustained postures can really wreak havoc on some patients. Below is a picture of the posture stool. You can find the posture stool at Back to Sleep. This chair moves and wobbles in 3 planes forcing the spine to have to adapt to the various motion it produces. Therapists at Ec use this motion to their advantage to help articulate the spine adhering to the principal – motion is the motion. By actively mobilizing the spine while under load, joint articulation, muscle contraction and neurological stimulation all occur in an authentic manner required for the seated athlete (aka office worker)
