FOOD OF  THE WEEK- Broccoli

When it comes to broccoli, I have a love-hate relationship with this king of a vegetable. It brings me back to the days of trying to hide these little green trees from my plate. However, as an adult, I have learnt to appreciate broccoli and all it’s amazing health benefits. At Everything’s Connected for the right client at the right time, broccoli can work wonders.

For those who struggle with this little green devil, a quick and yummy way to eat these bundles is to roast your broccoli for 20 minutes until crisp and tender. Toss them with a bit of olive oil, some lemon zest, and juice, and if your not dairy intolerant add some Parmesan cheese to the mix. For those dairy deprived nutritional yeast I a great substitute. And voila you’ve got a tasty, foolproof side of broccoli.

If you want to get to the science side of the broccoli magic check out sulforaphane at the link here https://www.livestrong.com/article/307835-foods-that-are-high-in-sulforaphane/
